Get hands-on with PolisOrbis.

This section is addressed to Orbis partners and to everyone who wants to use the PolisOrbis application.
  1. Create a “conversation” You must login to Orbis platform in order to be able to create a new discussion topic. You start by defining a topic and a set of initial seed statements. Then, you invite participants to join via a link yo can distribute wwith any channel (email, telegra, whatsapp, signal, web, apps etc etc)

  2. Participants vote Participants can:

    • Propose new statements (short, tweet-style only)
    • Express agree, disagree, or pass on each proposed statement
  3. Anonymous and ongoing participation Participation can be anonymous or authenticated, depending on the settings chosen by the survey creator. Participants can return at any time to contribute further. It’s possible (and encouraged) to participate multiple times using the same browser, to vote on newly added statements or contribute additional ones.

  4. AI/statistical analysis The system uses algorithms to build matrices of statements and votes, identifying clusters of opinion (groups with similar views).

  5. Dynamic visualization If enabled by the conversation creator, a real-time visual map displays emerging opinion groups, divergences, consensus points, and the most polarizing statements. This visualization remains available even after the survey closes. In addition to showing opinion groups, surveys conducted with the Orbis project can also display results processed by the Orbis toolkit, offering further insights and policy recommendations with the highest potential for consensus.

  6. Reports and decision-making Reports can be generated to support policymaking, decisions, or further analysis.

A clear and helpful video by the Crowd Wisdom Project explains the workflow. Please note that this video refers to the original Pol.Is implementation but applies also to PolisOrbis implementation:
